See You at the Movies

Snowmass’ nighttime cinematic experience returns with the Movies Under the Stars outdoor film series on July 1, featuring “UP.” Taking place at dusk on most Saturdays throughout August, moviegoers will enjoy a diverse range of films, including “Moana,” “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “Encanto,” “Ice Age” and a thrilling adventure film program.

All shows take place at The Rink in Snowmass Base Village (49 Wood Rd, Snowmass Village, CO).

UP

A 78-year-old curmudgeonly balloon salesman, Carl, is not your average hero. When he ties thousands of balloons to his house and flies away to the wilds of South America, he finally fulfills his lifelong dream of adventure. But after Carl discovers an 8-year-old stowaway named Russell, this unlikely duo soon finds themselves on a hilarious journey in a lost world filled with danger and surprises

Moana

Born on the island Village of Motunui, Moana is the daughter of Chief Tui and Sina, with an inherited love for the seas and voyaging. When her island becomes endangered by a life-killing darkness, Moana is chosen by the ocean to journey across the sea and save the world- with the help of the shape-shifting demigod Maui.

Encanto

“Encanto” tells the tale of an extraordinary family, the Madrigals, who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia, in a magical house, in a vibrant town, in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel (voice of Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

Ice Age

The story revolves around sub-zero heroes: a woolly mammoth, a saber-toothed tiger, a sloth and a prehistoric combination of a squirrel and rat, known as Scrat.

Adventure Entertainment will showcase an amazing film. Details will be announced soon.

SEATING:
Reservations are not required and seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. It is recommended that moviegoers arrive early, save their space and enjoy all Base Village has to offer until the movie begins.
 
FOOD AND BEVERAGES:
Picnics and non-alcoholic beverages may be carried in. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from Mawita and the Limelight Hotel only, with food available for purchase at any Base Village restaurant.
