Get Your Laugh On This Winter in Snowmass

Following a summer full of national, regional and local comedians, The Collective Snowmass will once again bring laughs to Snowmass this winter. The Snowmass Live Comedy Series will take place on select Wednesday evenings in January, February and March. All shows will begin at 7:30 p.m. at The Collective Hall (49 Wood Rd, Snowmass Village, CO). Local comedy nights will be free and tickets for additional headliner evenings are just $10 (plus fees).

7:30 P.M. WEDNESDAY, January 11
Colorado Comedy Competition

Come support Colorado-based comedians as they compete for a support slot on the summer series. Seating is first-come, first-served.

Competitors are invited to wow judges and the community to vie for a spot as an opener for headliners during the winter series. Submit your best 3-5 minute set by January 9 to [email protected] P6-13 content is requested.

Consensual Improv!

Consensual Improv was formed in 2016 and has been winging it ever since. Composed of comedians and actors living in Colorado's Roaring Fork Valley, their shows are an interactive and hilarious journey with the audience at the helm. The group has been a regular at the Aspen Laugh Festival and shared the bill with Trevor Noah, Second City, and the late, great Norm MacDonald. Current members include Al Atkinson, Kristin Carlson, Gerald DeLisser, Eliphalet (Miller) Ford, Nina Gabianelli, Emily Henley, Ryan Honey, Brian Keleher, Mike Monroney, Zoe Rom, Jeff Patterson, Jack Trembath, and Cassidy Wiley.

7:30 P.M. WEDNESDAY, January 25
Christie Buchele and Friends

Buchele is an accomplished stand-up comic making a name for herself by sharing the heart-wrenching and hilariously raw realities of being a woman with a disability. She has been featured on Viceland’s "Flophouse: Hidden America with Jonah Ray," "Laughs" on FOX and "First Look" on NBC. She has performed at the Limestone Comedy Festival and Denver’s own High Plains Comedy Festival, as well as starred in and wrote for the Project DU film "Scary Lucy," which has won multiple awards at film festivals around the country. As Director of Stand-Up at Rise Comedy Theater in Denver, she empowers young comics to hit the stage running and tell their stories with confidence.

Nancy Norton

Colorado-based Nancy Norton consistently receives five-star reviews by knowing her audience and connecting with universal truths through her intuitive and engaging style. She delivers shows that are high energy, fast-paced and hilarious. She tours nationally headlining clubs, festivals, conferences and events. Norton draws from a lifetime of experience. She is a single mom who worked many years as a registered nurse and shares hilarious healthcare anecdotes that will leave you in stitches and wanting to “stay well.”

7:30 P.M. Wednesday, February 15
Reem Edan

Edan is an Iraqi-American content creator, award-winning writer and internationally touring stand-up comedian originally from Colorado. She can be seen performing on Shahid “VIP’s,” "Stand Up Sketch Show,” on Fail Army’s “Stand-up Fails” and “Fail News,” plus in several social campaigns for FOX, including “Family Guy” and “The Great North;” “Chad” on TBS; “DC” for Warner Bros; and Universal alongside Elizabeth Banks to promote “Pitch Perfect 3.” Reem also pens jokes for the official social media pages of “Tom & Jerry,” “Scooby Doo” and “Looney Tunes.” She was named one of “5 Muslim Women Comedians to Get You Through Social Distancing” by Bustle.

Noah Gardenswartz

Gardenswartz is a New York based comedian and writer. When not on tour, he performs regularly at the Comedy Cellar in New York City and is a writer on Amazon's Emmy and Golden-Globe winning show "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel." He has his own Comedy Central special, has appeared on “The Late Late Show with James Corden” and twice on “Conan.” Additionally, he was a semi-finalist on NBC's "Last Comic Standing" and has released two chart-topping comedy albums, "Blunt" and "White Men Can't Joke." Before turning to stand-up, Gardenswartz worked as a journalist, hedge fund day trader, elementary school teacher and even grew weed - though obviously not all at once.

Chris Garcia

Garcia is a comedian, television writer, actor and podcaster from Los Angeles. In 2019, the Chris’ WNYC podcast, “Scattered,” premiered and on NPR and was noted by Time Magazine as "one of the top ten podcasts of 2019." The limited series focused on his Cuban exile family and the mystery of his father’s past- in a funny way. You may have seen Chris tell his jokes on his very own half hour special on Comedy Central’s “This Is Not Happening” and Adam Devine’s “House Party.” Chris was named a New Face at the 2016 Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival and a “Comedian You Should and Will Know” by Vulture. He has written for Comedy Central, “Adult Swim,” “Broadway Video” and wrote for Netflix’s “Mr. Iglesias.”

Valley Comedy Showcase

Come out and join us for a free evening of hilarious comedy showcasing the local Roaring Fork Valley talent, including winners of our January Colorado Comedy Competition. Line-up will be announced in March.
