Gabriel Santiago Project “Brazilian Contemporary Music”
Gabriel Santiago is a Brazilian composer, arranger, and guitarist known for his expressive work on both acoustic and electric guitar. With 14 acclaimed albums and mentorship from jazz legends like Pat Metheny and Maria Schneider, he has established himself as a standout voice in contemporary music. A recipient of the ASCAP Young Jazz Composer Award, Santiago also holds a Doctorate in Music Composition from the University of Texas at Austin. His collaborations span top artists such as Chris Potter and Stefon Harris, and his compositions—rooted in Brazilian, jazz, and classical influences—reflect his wide-ranging musical versatility.
