PAST PERFORMERS:
The Frank Todaro Trio | With six decades of experience performing music in town, Frank Todaro is Aspen’s Godfather of Jazz Piano. He linked up with local trumpeter Dustin Lutomski in 2016 and they immediately bonded over a shared love of the jazz greats: Miles Davis, Fats Waller and Duke Ellington, especially. Together they perform over 120 jazz standards from the 1920s – 1960s. Frank’s piano and Dustin’s trumpet blend seamlessly, weaving a unique tapestry of sound filled with skillfully improvised solos. They’re joined by local bassist John Zajicek, who’s been playing with Frank and many other RFV musicians since the 1970s.
