Join us for an evening of original movement, creative exploration, and connection as we discover how even the smallest gestures can create lasting ripples.
Larger Than They Appear explores how people, performances, movements, and spaces that may seem small or minimal can create extraordinary impact.
This unique performance series celebrates local talent while intentionally embracing intimate venues, modest stages, minimal technology, and a rare closeness between performer and audience. The result is a powerful and deeply personal artistic experience where every movement matters.
For this edition, choreographers have been invited to create brand-new, original works within a performance space of approximately 8 x 15 feet. Each artist has been asked to interpret this show’s sub-theme, Ripple Effect, exploring the ways actions, relationships, memories, and moments can expand far beyond their point of origin.
Feedback from the inaugural, sold-out Larger Than They Appear performances in April 2026 demonstrated the deep resonance of this approach. What appears small can often be the catalyst for something much larger.
