A gallery, playground and game room rolled into one, this first-of-its-kind creative hangout brings a truly unique vibrancy to the heart of Base Village. Occupying the entire ground floor of The Collective, this colorful space features amenities such as artistically designed ping-pong tables, neon foosball, giant pin art, classic arcade games that span generations, a ski chair lounge, a mastodon mural, and even a ball pool shaped in the size of Snowmass’s Ziegler Reservoir – home to one of the largest Ice Age fossil excavation sites in the country.
The Collective Game Lounge was designed to spark imaginations and engage people of all ages through artistic expression and interactive game experiences.
More than a dozen artists, hailing from Snowmass and Denver, and all the way from Portland, Oregon to turn the white, blank walls on the downstairs level of The Collective into works of art. Many of the artists are used to creating large murals, often outside in urban areas. One of the walls, designed by artist Detour is an interactive painted piano mural that responds to touch and plays melodies. This space is the first kid-centered facility built in Snowmass since Aspen Skiing Company’s Treehouse Kids Adventure Center 10 years ago.
