Ben Thomas Taylor Ensemble
The Ben Thomas Taylor Experience was formed in late 2020 by guitarist and composer Ben Thomas Taylor. Ben and other members of the group recorded Ben’s debut album “The Bohemian” in the fall of 2020. The album was released in March 2021 and now the group is working together to workshop new compositions as they also prepare to perform Ben’s original music and other pieces from bands of similar genre for live audiences in the Miami area beginning in August 2021. The band consists of some of Miami’s top young talent, all current or former students of the Frost School of Music. Each musician in the group brings their own unique voice, and combined with Ben’s compositional style, which is heavily based in jazz improvisation while combining elements of funk, fusion, rock, blues, gospel, and R&B, the Ben Thomas Taylor Experience has an indistinguishable sound that is sure to captivate sophisticated audiences as well as the casual live music enthusiast.
Trunino Lowe Quartet
The Trunino Lowe Quartet is composed of four friends that share a genuine love and understanding of music. The diversity of the group goes from traditional to modern music. Based out of Detroit, Michigan, this group combine the Detroit sound into all that they do. Striving to communicate peace and love through music.
The Band “L Stop” is a quintet of musical friends from New York University – Tiger Diep, Anton Kot, Carlin Lee, Warren Louie, and Cole Palensky. They are Vandoren Emerging Artists, National YoungArts finalists, and alumni from various national ensembles such as NYO Jazz, Next Generation, Essentially Ellington, and more. As individuals, they have performed in notable venues such as Carnegie Hall, Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola, the Blue Note NYC, and the
International Gamelan Festival
The band’s musical relationship was formed through the university-wide quarantine, which made it increasingly difficult to play with musicians from other colleges in New York City. As a result, the group members focused on creating a band of friends that honors each other by bringing the highest level of playing to all music, original or otherwise. Through our time together, a shared ideal developed: To find and express our own voice in this ever-changing world when playing music, and to bring this together with developing perspectives and dialogue.
Ingenuity is a fairly new ensemble. Comprised of graduates of the Thelma Yellin School of the Arts in Israel, each member has vast experience playing at jazz venues in Israel and abroad. Daniel Cohen – Saxophone, Roy Ben Bashat – Guitar, Avshalom Meidan – Piano, – Bass, Yonatan Farhi and David Sirkis – Drums.
We are all influenced by many different kinds of music. Each member contributes his own voice to the ensemble. Our music consists of compositions written by all members of the ensemble.
