ACES Wild Perspectives: Seeking Balance Finding Adventure

February 25 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Join ACES for our brand new winter speaker series, Wild Perspectives! From January through March, this free speaker series takes place every Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. at The Collective in Snowmass’ Base Village, providing an opportunity for community-building and storytelling that engages Aspen and Snowmass locals and visitors alike.

Seeking Balance Finding Adventure: Kayaking, skiing and climate change in Patagonia | 6 p.m. February 25 | Presented by Marian Krogh

In October last year, Marian and her teammate traveled to the Southern Patagonian Icefield to attempt a human-powered, fair means adventure where they accessed the icefield by sea kayak with the goal of climbing and skiing. Her team and the communities they visited faced many challenges, many of which are a direct result of climate change. Marian will share the story of her adventure and the stories of people her team met along the way.

Marian is a passionate skier, adventurer and environmentalist. She splits her time between Wanaka, New Zealand and Aspen where she works as a ski instructor.
